We are still sending out wooden model ships, the Ugly Ducklings, to get ready for the ship trip to the Great Exhibition, but we must make a few changes to the ships. The cargo barge for carrying the families from one country to another should be painted bright red. The ship is a 14 meter long sailing ship and has a capacity of 130 people. The ship is made from 3/4 of a 4x4 meter plank. On each side of the ship, on the bottom of the boat, is a grill to catch rainwater. The small sailing ship will be carried on the roof of a truck.
This is the square-shaped board for the deck. The square is made from two 4x4-meter planks. On the sides are two 20 cm high square tubs, on top is the deck and on the bottom is a wood sink for cooking and drinking water. The deck has two foot holes, two windows (20 cm x 20 cm), two hatches, and two doors. The decks are made from one 4x4-meter plank. On the bottom of the board are 10 wooden beams, one for each square tub.
The kitchen is made from two 4x4-meter planks, and a door and window (20 cm x 20 cm). On the bottom of the kitchen is a wood sink and two wooden stoves. The stoves are placed on top of two wooden crates.
Toilet
The toilet is made from two 2x2-meter planks, a door and window (20 cm x 20 cm). The toilet is placed in a wooden box (3x1.50m x 3x0.75m). On top of the wooden box is a roof, made from two 6x4-meter planks.
The roof and top of the toilet box are covered with canvas. The toilet box has a space for a 5-meter long pipe, with water coming from a tap on the roof. The toilets have two wooden basins, and a tap on the bottom of the basin.
The small sailing ship is ready for decoration and the last changes. The side and bottom of the cargo barge are painted with bright red paint. On the side of the cargo barge is a grill to catch rain
